soliloquies of a single sassy chicka part 1

soliloquies defined - the act of speaking ones thought aloud when by oneself or regardless of any hearers. i have so many funny thoughts and ideas that i want to share about being single that you can feel free to share with anyone you deem worthy or needy.....since i don't have cutesy kiddos or handsome husbands to blog about, i'll blog about what i know..... this weekend i traveled/drove with some ppl to a dental conference. it is quite apparent how being alone/single/independant is completely different than life with besties/boyfriends/husband/kids in it. for instance....

1. when i travel i have all of my food in arms reach, which means the front seat.

2. all of my music is in playlists that are easily accessible to me

3. breaks/naps/potty breaks either don't happen or are SUPER DUPER quick

4. caffiene is a staple for trips over 3 hours

5. farting, stinky feet, and airing out your armpits is totally acceptable (not that i do this)

BUT!! when you travel with someone.....they have to sit in front seat so the food dynamics takes on a whole new meaning and you have to develop some flexibility to reach behind the seat and around the armrests. The other person may not be in the mood for your music and can't figure out where to find what they like. I CAN NAP!!!! (my favorite!) and because i can nap, i don't necessarily need the caffiene! and of course.....depending on how well you know your traveling buddy/friend/amigo you can or can't fart, have stinky feet, or air out your armpits...... completely! different!! awesome!!!
