ugh...shiver....yuck....hate

remember the mice!!!??? how i hate them!!! and am afraid of them so much that i put blankets under the door jam so that don't crawl on me at night?? yeah, that bad....

what about the FREAKIN""" FLYING MICE?????

ugh. ugh. ugh

i went to bed at 10:30pm, everything was great. nice restful bed.

11:56 pm, i woke up to swooshing over my head

12:00pm after 4 minutes of trying to convince myself it's a moth,

i look, it's a BAT!!!

a flying mouse!!!

i am above my parents room, so i (the 31 year old) start screaming my mom's name from my cave under the covers!!!! whilst the nasty bat is still flying in circles around my room and over my head.

12:10 am no answer (that's right, they're DEAF!!)

12:11 am, i slide my hand out of my covers and grab my phone

and call my mom on the land line.

ok. short story is this...mom came up with a broom and opened the window without a screen in hopes of the bat flying out...i barrel rolled out of my bed with my comforter and cowered on the ground....military crawled to my mom....instead of the bat going out, another came to keep it company....i counted to 3 and ran to the door and got out!!! called my dad on the phone, and told him to come help my mom. one bat went out. the other got tired and perched on the ceiling, and i went and got a butterfly net, slid it under the door, and my dad caught it and took it out.

end of the story is this...

i went to sleep with one eye open around 1:30 am

my parents are my heroes!!!

i hate bats!!!

Oh my goodness! I would have freaked as well! Thank goodness for parents. If it were me, I'd invest in a mosquito net cannopy to sleep under.

I'm so sorry you were traumatized by a bat. I too am scared to death by mice and the like. Yay, for your parents.

I'd still prefer a bat to a bird. :)
